About Rooms of Grace
Our journey began in the fall of 2019 when a dedicated group of like-minded individuals from three different churches in Beaufort County gathered to address the concerning issues of homelessness and addiction in our community. By early 2020, it was clear that a significant need existed for a housing solution for these marginalized individuals. Led by divine providence, we signed a two-year lease for what used to be an old funeral home located at 1942 Trask Parkway in Sea Brook on March 6th, 2020.
Divine Support
The support we have received since day one is nothing short of miraculous. Within just two weeks of acquiring the lease, the facilities were fully furnished—right from the communal spaces down to beds and dressers in all six guest rooms. Fast forward to today, and we are proud to say that as of December 2022, we are the official owners of the property, a significant milestone in our journey of service and compassion.
In December of 2023 we required a new roof, and God provided the resources in two weeks. In August of 2024 we completed renovating our meeting room that will also serve as our chapel.
Our Mission
Our unwavering mission is to provide a stable, Christ-centered environment designed to restore hope and dignity to men seeking a life worth living. Over the last four and a half years, more than 90 men have walked through our doors. Each individual has been offered the gospel, and while success varies from person to person, each life touched represents a step forward in our enduring mission.
Extending Our Reach
With the addition of a case manager to our in-house services, our relationships with other highly structured facilities and organizations empowers us to serve beyond our immediate capacity of housing 9 men. We are also committed to helping women in their journey toward recovery by finding them the right facility and necessary resources. If you're ready to put in the work for a life transformation, we're here to guide you every step of the way.
Community and Beyond
Our operations have been supported by the broader community, a testament to the pressing need for our services. With an eye toward future expansion and impact, we welcome you to join us in this incredible journey of redemption, recovery, and renewal.
Together, we can make a world of difference—one life at a time.
